Hello all,
As we approach the last 2 weeks of our annual summer reading contest, we would like to thank all of those participating. We are thrilled to have over 60 children registered and reading this June! See our special announcement below about our new summer reading contest wrap-up party.
June is also Pride Month which recognizes the contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) culture. You will find our Suggested Reading full of books highlighting LGBTQ authors and stories (including some new titles!) to commemorate this month.
Summer Announcements:
Summer Reading Contest Wrap-Up Party: Save the date! Join us Saturday, July 12, 2025 for our wrap-up pizza party for our Summer Reading Contest. We are also very excited to announce we will have story time at 11am with a high school student from the National Museum of the American Latino of the Smithsonian Institution.
They will be reading the book, Paletero Man written by Latin Grammy award winner, Lucky Diaz, and illustrated by celebrated artist, Micah Player. Stay until 12pm for free pizza!
July 4th Weekend Hours: This upcoming July 4th weekend we will be open for our regular operating hours on Thursday and Saturday. Remember you can always return any library books through the green mailbox outside of the library.
Summer Break: The library will be closed for Summer Break from Thursday, July 17, 2025 to Sunday, July 27, 2025. We will reopen on Monday, July 28, 2025 under our regular hours.
