Saturday story time at your library

Hello all,

With May coming to a close, we have new eBooks and audiobooks coming to Libby! May is a month of celebration to many as it is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Jewish American Heritage Month, and Military Appreciation Month. To reflect these important legacies, we've added titles highlighting Asian American, Pacific Islander, and Jewish authors as well as books spotlighting soldiers across different wars. 

Harvey's back! Join us on Saturday, June 6, 2026 for story time with our beloved friends, author, Natalie Vázquez and her dog, Harvey. Story time starts at 12:30pm, with a complimentary snack at 12 pm.  Open to all children, ages 2-9. We will also be having our monthly $5 bag sale in our sales section. Take home a shopping bag of books for $5. You may bring your own bags and we will also have more available on site. 

Starting this Monday! This summer it's time to super power your reading! Summertime reading is that special time of year when we encourage our youngest readers to read books that speak to them and to join in our Summer Reading Contest. Here's how it works: 

1. Sign up at the volunteer desk and take home some of our Supersonic Activity Sheets. 

2. Pick a book to read.

3. After reading, select and complete one of the activities from the activity sheets.

4. For every book read our readers, receive one ticket good for our raffle at the end of the contest.

5. For every five books read, readers will receive a sticker to mark the milestone. We will also have a sticker sheet available for them to collect their stickers. 

At the end of the 6 weeks, we will be raffling two reading tablets and two gift cards from a book store.  Open to all children, ages 2-18.
