Hello all,

This past Monday, September 15th marked the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month. Spanning from September 15th to October 15th , Hispanic Heritage Month is an opportunity to explore and highlight the impact Latin people have had on the United States for generations. To celebrate we have added new ebooks and audiobooks to our online branch by Latin and Caribbean authors to highlight the diversity of cultures across the continent. Some of these include:

  • ¡Solo Brilla! (Just Shine!) by Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor

  • The First State of Being by Erin Entrada Kelly, winner of the 2025 John Newbery Medal

  • Todo o nada, Valentina (It's All of Nothing, Vale) by our very own Andrea Beatriz Arango

Continuing with our celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we will be hosting a Meet & Greet with veteran journalist, writer, editor and professor, Rafael Matos. He will be sharing about his writing career along with his most recent book, La vellonero vitriólica. He will also have copies of his book available for purchase.

Throughout the day, our entire sales section will also be on sale. Fill up a shopping bag full of books for $5 per bag. Bags will be provided, but you may also bring your own.
