May is a very important month for many at our library. We remember and honor this Memorial Day weekend for those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country. May is Military Appreciation Month. Our library has a diverse collection of history titles concerning the military and the soldiers who have served us all.
May is also Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage month and Jewish Heritage Month. You will find our Suggested Reading section for this month is full of books highlighting Jewish and Asian American authors and their stories. Their stories, some based on real experiences and others about fantastical worlds drawing from different cultures' mythology, expose us to different cultures and bridge the gap between people across the world.
