Hello all,
We would like to start by thanking all who joined us this past Saturday for our story time with a high school representative of the Young Ambassador program of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Latino. The kids fell in love with the book's colorful images, the coloring time and obviously, the doughnuts and pizza. Our personal highlight was seeing your own "paletas" and creations, like Mateo who made a yellow apple flavored one in the form of a cat.
Additionally, this past Tuesday officially marked the end of our 2025 Summer Reading Contest. This year we had a record amount of 73 participants with an average age of 8 years old. Throughout our 6-week long contest they read a total of 331 books!
Thank you for bringing the joy of reading into your summer and congratulations to our winners! You may begin picking up your tablets when we return from Summer Break starting on Monday, June 28, 2025.
Reminder! The library will be closed for Summer Break starting this Thursday, July 17, 2025 to Sunday, July 27,2025. Book donations will not be accepted during this time as we cannot process them during our summer break. We will reopen on Monday, July 28, 2025 under our regular hours.
Happy reading from our library family to yours.
