Hello all,

How is it already the second week of January? The calendar is flying by and we've barely started the year. Most importantly, we hope the beginning of this new year has treated you and your loved ones kindly. To start off the new year we have some brief announcements with more to come soon!

We will be closed this upcoming Monday, January 19, 2026 in commemoration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Any books marked for this day will be due on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 and no fines will be accumulated as customary. 

Save the Date for our first library event of the year! Join us Saturday, February 14, 2026 for an exciting activity featuring a new local author, story time, $5 bag sale & some donuts straight from Cupid himself. Stay tuned for more details very soon!

Spaces are still available for Saturday art classes with Maestra Cuca! Classes are held on Saturday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Open to all children ages 8-13. For more information, please text or call Cuca directly at (787) 633-5787.

We are quickly approaching the kickoff to our Youth Writing Workshop with Newbery Award winning author, Andrea Beatriz Arango, best known for her beloved young adult novels, Iveliz Explains It All, Something Like Home, and It's All or Nothing Vale. The workshop is bilingual (Spanish & English) and open to all children, ages 8-12. Whether you already dream of becoming an author or simply wish to improve your writing skills, this is the place for you to let your creative spark run lose!

Workshop dates: Saturdays, January 17, 24, and 31, 2026

Time: 11:00 am-12:00 pm
