February events

Hello all,

As February draws to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to again commemorate Black History Month. To celebrate 100 years of Black History Month, you will find new eBooks and audiobooks in our digital catalog. Take a look to discover a new selection of books all written by Black authors and highlighting Black history and stories. 

We would like to extend our gratitude to our members and community for the response to all of our workshops and events in 2026 so far. Our upcoming Ink Painting Workshop (Sumi-e) with Alejandra Nanishi is already full. We have a waitlist available in case any spaces were to become vacated. If you wish to be added to the waitlist, notify one of our library volunteers on your next visit or email us at info@yourlibrarysanjuan.org with the participant's name and a contact number. 

Spring break is just around the corner! The library will be closed for Spring Break from Wednesday, April 1, 2026 to Sunday, April 5, 2026. You may return your books at any time using the green mailbox by the front entrance of the library or check out our online catalog of eBooks and audiobooks on Libby. As customary, fines will not be accumulated over the break. 

Spaces are still available for our Saturday art classes for children with Maestra Cuca! The morning session is from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, open to all children ages 8-13. While the afternoon session is from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm for ages 7-11.  For more information, please text or call Maestra Cuca directly at (787) 633-5787.
