Closing for Renovations and Labor Day
Hello all,
Reminder! The library will be closed for renovations and Labor Day weekend starting today, Thursday, September 3, 2026 until Monday, September 7, 2026. As customary, books will not be due on these days and fines will not be accumulated. Remember that even when the library is closed, all our members have 24/7 access to our catalog of eBooks and audiobooks on Libby as well as our streaming catalog of movies, television shows, and documentaries via Kanopy. We will reopen on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 for regular operating hours!
Our Sumi-e (ink drawing) Workshops with artist, Alejandra Nanishi are set to continue in September! Our September 12 session will be a beginner session, perfect for anyone wanting to dip their toe into the art of ink painting. Meanwhile, the September 26 workshop will be an advanced session, open to anyone who has previous experience with Sumi-e and looking to learn more.
All workshops run from 11:00 am-1:00 pm and have a cost of $25 per person which includes the price of the class as well as all materials. There is only a limited number of spaces available for all the workshops, so remember to secure your spot before the course! Open to all, ages 13+.
