Christmas is here at San Juan Community Library!

Hello all,

It's hard to believe we're already in the midst of the holiday season! Full of traditions and obligations, the holiday season is a stressful, but also joyous time for many of us. May this holiday joy follow you all into the new year. In between hunting for presents, we have some holiday  announcements to share:

Holiday Gathering: Celebrate the holidays at San Juan Community Library next Saturday, December 13, 2025! Just in time for holiday gift giving, join us for our $5 bag book sale. We have many books needing a new home for the holidays! Storytime with Dads @ the Library will start at 1:00 pm. Remember, you can bring your own books to share with the group too!

There will also be a complimentary lunch and donuts at 12 pm along with recorded holiday music.  Singing will be welcomed!   Bring a friend and enjoy a moment to relax during this busiest time of year.

Youth Writing Workshop: This new year is bringing a new program at San Juan Community Library! Join us for our very first Youth Writing Workshop with Newbery Award winning author, Andrea Beatriz Arango. The workshop is bilingual (Spanish & English) and open to all children, ages 8-12. Whether you already love writing or simply wish to improve, this is the place for you to develop your creative spark!

Workshop dates: Saturdays, January 17, 24, and 31, 2026

Holiday Break: The library will be closed for the holidays from Sunday, December 21, 2025 to Tuesday, January 6, 2026. We will open briefly on Monday, December 29, 2025 from 1:30 pm-4:30 pm for any members who wish to return, renew or check out new books. We will close again for the New Year and Three Kings Day until Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
