We are back from our summer break! We hope that everyone had a great vacation!!!!
As you prepare to go back to your regular routines, please keep the date of Saturday, August 18 open for us. On that day we are hosting a Back to School Book and Bake Sale from 10 am to 1 pm. All sales books will be 50% off and all bake sales items are guaranteed DELICIOUS! Students are welcome to bake an item for our mini fundraiser. We will honor two hours of community service for your donated/baked item.
Please also keep us in mind, as we hope that our reports to Claro will be answered. We have had not internet for the past two weeks, and are using a temporary router to connect us to the world wide web. And, today, our phone is now also out of order. We can make calls, but cannot receive them.
If you need to renew a book, please send us an email along with your name and account number to our email address at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Mondays are back! Starting Monday, August 6, we will be open on Mondays from 10 am to pm.
Library Operating Schedule: Monday- Wednesday, 10 am to 5 pm; Thursday 10 am – 5:30 pm and Saturday 10 am – 3 pm.
Summer Reading Contest: We agree with bookstore owner and author Cobble Hill that “Books are Magic.” Our library’s youngest patrons are also in agreement! 53 young readers participated in our 2018 summer reading contest. Many readers read more than 10 books during their summer vacation, and that deserves a big round of applause. Every reader is a winner in our books! If you haven’t seen the artwork from this contest, stop by our children’s area to see the book covers that our readers designed as a part of our contest.
Congratulations to the winners of the two tablets (Amazon Fire 7). We are thrilled that our program motivated our youngest members. We hope that they continue to read with us during the school year from both our collection on Apolo Avenue and from our virtual branch at www.digitalsjcl.org!
Thanks and welcome back!
